These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kickgrid application (the “App”), available on the Apple App Store and at playkickgrid.com, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Kickgrid is a daily football trivia game: a grid of category clues that you fill in with matching players, drawing on real match, club, and player data. A new grid is available each day. The Service is developed and operated by Kickgrid.
You do not need to register to play. On first launch, the App generates an anonymous identifier for your installation, which we use to track your Coin balance, daily reward claims, and purchases. If you reinstall the App or switch devices without signing in, this identifier may reset and progress tied to it may not carry over unless you restore your purchases through the App Store.
You may optionally sign in with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Signing in creates a Kickgrid account linked to that provider, lets your finished grids and purchases follow you across devices, and enters you into the global leaderboard (Section 5) and lets you add friends (Section 6). You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple or Google account secure. We are not liable for any loss arising from someone else using your account.
Your account has a display name, taken from your sign-in provider or generated by us, which you can change in the App. Display names must not be offensive, misleading, impersonate another person or organisation, or infringe anyone’s rights. We may change or reset a display name that breaks these rules without notice.
You can delete your account and the results tied to it at any time in the App under Settings, then Profile. See our Privacy Policy for what is deleted.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

Kickgrid uses an in-app virtual currency (“Coins”) that you can earn by completing the daily grid or purchase through the App Store. Coins can be spent on in-app features such as hints and undos.
Coins have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts. We may adjust the Coin cost of features or the size of Coin bundles at any time.
All purchases are billed through the Apple App Store. Prices are displayed in the App before you buy. Purchases are generally final; refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, not by us directly.
Purchases are processed by RevenueCat on our behalf; see Third-Party Services below.
When you are signed in, the App sends each grid you finish to our servers. We check your answers against our own dataset and store the verified result. The global leaderboard ranks signed-in players by the number of grids solved perfectly (daily and unlimited grids alike), and shows each player’s display name, profile picture (if any), and that count to all users of the App. By signing in you agree to appear on the leaderboard in this way.
Scores are determined by our servers, not by the App on your device. We may correct, remove, or reset results and leaderboard entries that we reasonably believe were obtained by cheating, automation, data tampering, or exploiting a bug, and we may suspend the accounts involved. Leaderboard rankings are provided for fun and carry no prize, entitlement, or guarantee of accuracy.
Signed in, you have a username that other players can search for to send you a friend request. A friendship exists only once both sides agree: one of you asks, the other accepts. Either of you can end it at any time, and you can decline a request sent to you or withdraw one you sent.
While you are friends, each of you can see the other’s display name, profile picture, number of grids solved perfectly, current streak, and whether that day’s grid has been finished. By adding someone as a friend you agree to share that information with them. If you would rather not, remove the friendship or delete your account.
Invite links contain your username. Share them only with people you are happy to be found by, since anyone who receives the link can use it.
Do not use friend requests, usernames, or display names to harass, impersonate, or spam other players. We may remove content, end friendships, and suspend accounts that do.

Your use of these services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their actions.
Kickgrid is an independent trivia product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any football club, league, federation, or player featured in the game. Club names, player names, crests, and related marks belong to their respective owners and are used for informational and identification purposes only.
Football statistics are sourced from third-party data providers. We do our best to keep this data accurate but do not guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free, and grid answers are graded against our own dataset, which may occasionally differ from other sources.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that synced results will never be lost, or that a new grid will always be available exactly at midnight in every timezone.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kickgrid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Kickgrid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms here with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service or your account at any time, with or without cause, including for breach of Sections 2.3, 3, 5, or 6. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms immediately cease, and we may delete your account and its results.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Passau, Germany, where this is permitted by law.
