No Account, No Fuss

Open Kickgrid and today’s grid is just there. No login wall, no “continue with” buttons, no tutorial you can’t skip. Type a name, submit, done.

We built it that way because a daily puzzle should take ten seconds to start, not ten minutes of onboarding.

What you get without an account

Everything that matters: the daily 3x3, hints and coins, streak tracking, the recent archive, share images, offline play once the grid is loaded. Coins and streaks live on your device, so they persist between sessions, just don’t wipe the app’s data.

The only real limitation is the obvious one: your stuff lives on that device. Start a 40-day streak on your phone and it won’t appear on your tablet.

The honest trade-offs

Local-first is great for privacy and speed, slightly annoying in two situations:

New phone, gone streak. Reinstall or switch devices and the counter restarts. If your streak ever becomes something you’re proud of, that’s the moment to think about sync, not before.

Web vs. app. Your phone streak and your browser streak are separate things. Pick one home base if the number matters to you.

That’s it. No locked features, no ad-supported tier punishing you for staying anonymous. The free grid is the full grid.

If you ever want sync

Kickgrid Pro adds cross-device backup alongside the archive and extra grids. You don’t need it on day one, play for a few weeks, see if the streak sticks, and decide then. Plenty of people never bother, and that’s fine.

FAQ

Do I lose anything by not creating an account? Only cross-device sync. Your streak, coins, and history all work fine on a single device without one.

Is any personal information collected to play? No. Playing without an account means Kickgrid doesn’t ask for a name, email, or password to access the daily grid.

Can I create an account later without losing my current streak? Yes, upgrading to Pro backs up your existing local streak and history rather than starting you over.

Start now, decide later

The fastest way to evaluate any daily game is to play three days in a row. Open today’s grid, play it on the bus, see if you come back tomorrow. No email required for the experiment.
